International Christian Fellowship

A community formed by people from all over the world in which God is central and is worshipped

History

In 1998 some people from different denominations started having Bible studies in the English language. We also wanted people who did not speak Dutch well to hear a sound Biblical message. In 2000 this led to the start of a new church, which was incorporated in the Christian Reformed Churches later on. Theo Visser led the project from the beginning and then became pastor of the church. This was his job until the summer of 2008. After that the community sent him out to work for other international church plants in the foundation of ICP.

The daily conduct of the community was then temporary taken over by a multi ethnic leadership. Samson Nibi from Ghana, Humayun Sunil from Pakistan and Jan Kieviet from the Netherlands have been leading the community together with the church council untill the summer of 2011.

In the meantime we have been searching for a new pastor. This finally brought us into contact with pastor Coen Legemaate, who together with his wife Katja and son Jens became part of ICF in September 2013.
